Common questions,

Q. Whats the difference between a front line and non front line licence?
A. Exactly what it says. A front line licence will allow you to work as a door supervisor ie: the front line or as a manager
where as a non front line licence will only allow you to manage licensed staff. you cannot work a front line role with non
fron line licence. The major difference is that if you are getting a non front line licence you do not need any training first.

Q.Who needs a Door Supervisors licence?
A. A Door Supervisor licence is required if manned guarding activities are undertaken in relation to  licensed premises,
except where the activity only involves the use of CCTV equipment or falls within the definition of cash and valuables in
transit or close protection. A Door Supervisor licence is required if you are performing this activity on behalf of yourself
or your employer or your services are supplied for the purposes of or in connection with any contract to a consumer.

For example: a person may be defined as a security guard working in a supermarket through his job discription but if
the supermarket is selling alcohol he will need a Door supervisor licence.
